• Next week we are going to write a report on the River Yare
• Talk to people about the river. What do they know about it? What do they think of it?
• We will also be learning about it in class
• These are some questions we will be investigating (see if anyone knows the answers so you have a head start)
• Where is its source?
• Where is its mouth?
• Are you nearest to the source, the middle or the mouth?
• What is the name of the nearest confluence?
• What is the nearest town to this part of the river? 
• How is the river used? 
• Is the area flat or hilly?
• Are there any river features? Meanders, erosion? 
• Can you see any evidence of humans controlling the river?
• Can you see any signs of pollution?
• Can you see any wildlife?  Are you surprised by the amount you have seen?
