  • Play the maths game with your family
English
  • Reading has two rewards
    • Read everyday at home and get it signed by an adult to earn a house point. (Come on Swift!)
    • Record how many minutes you read (approved by an adult). The person with the most on Friday gets a Golden Ticket
Golden Ratio

  • Find the Golden Ratio in things
    • e.g. measure the length of a window then divide that by the width

  • You need to write an essay on your question (about one side of A4)
  • Everyone completes the essay individually, then on Tuesday 21st October the groups come together to have a group debate.
  • Deadline: 21st October

  • Reading at home - People who get a full week signed in their diaries get a house point

  • Bring it back by next Friday and stick it into your maths books
Moon Diaries
  • Remember, you don't have to do it everyday but whenever you can. 
  • If you have filled your sheet, you can come and get another one.
Trip to Baghdad
  • If (and only if) you have any clothes that you can wear for our 'trip to Baghdad' then bring them in next week.
    • NOTE: This is just a fictional trip back in time to ancient Baghdad.

Celebrate Eid al-Adha
  • Eat lots of red meat - Check out these recipes
    • If you have a sheep - sacrifice it.
      • 'The meat is divided into three parts: the family keeps one third; another third is given to relatives, friends and neighbors; and the last part is given to those in need.'
    • If you can't sacrifice a sheep, see what you have in the fridge.
  • Wear your finest clothes to dinner
